James W. & Joseph B. Tierney opened a small Market @ 182 Scio Street in 1902, called " The Tierney Brothers Market". James was 29 years old & Joseph was 27 years old, they lived @ 53 or 55 Weld Street. The family @ home was Mary @ 28, Nell was 22, Betsy was 18, Edward was 17, Raymond was 16, Walter was 13, Arthur was 12.
Joseph B. left the Market after one year & returned to work as a Moulder.

James W. Tierney died yesterday at the family residence at 208 Lyndhurst Street, aged 39 years. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. E. J. Tierney; five brothers, Joseph B., Edward J., Raymond J., Walter L. & Arthur J. Tierney, and two sisters, Mrs. C. W. Lansing & Miss Elizabeth Tierney.

TIERNEY- Wednesday, Feburary 19, 1913 at the family home 208 Lyndhurst Street, aged 39 years. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. E. J. Tierney; five brothers, Joseph B., Edward J., Raymond J., Walter L. & Arthur J., and two sisters, Mrs. C. W. Lansing & Miss Elizabeth Tierney. Funeral services Friday morning from Corpus Christi Church. Hour not definitely arranged.
