Manya’s mother (Hannah) was forced to go to work, to help support the family, when her father died in 1882. Hannah was only 10 years old but because her birth had not been registered her Mother told authorities that she was 12 years old.......and she started work in the Mills. She had to use a stool to increase her height to reach the looms.

Manya’s mother (Hannah) was taken away at the first “Selection” at their apartment and sent to an unknown Concentration Camp........never to be seen again.
