The 1850 US Census, New York State, Oneida County, Kirkland Township, the following:
Clark, Noah, age 86, born Connecicut
Clark, Susan, age 82, born Connecticut

On July 2, 1998, I checked the Kirkland Cemetery outside Clark's Mills, and found no Wholahan's but I did find lots of Clark's:....like the following:
Noah Clark, died July 28, 1851, @ age 87 yrs/3 mo/14 days. Revolutionary War Soldier.= b 1764
Martin Clark, died Sept. 7, 1870 @ age 83 = born 1787
I have US census record of A. B. as being 69 in 1870
Demarcus Clark, died Jan. 7, 1871, @ age 51yrs. 22days = born 1821
Eneas P. Clark, born: Mar. 20, 1804,........ died May 12, 1872.
F. B. Clark, born: June 30, 1831, ............ died Nov. 2, 1882.....this is a son of A. B. Clark
Ezra Clark, born April 11, 1797................died Feb. 12, 1883
Herbert H. Clark, Born, Sept. 9, 1851, died Dec. 6, 1926
Ralph Clark......grave not found.....other brother who founded Mill
W. D. Clark died ?.....could not read stone
